My friends know that I often go out on hikes simply to explore. I am not always after a specific shot, but take my camera along so I am ready when the opportunity presents itself. This was one of those days and we were out on a 6.2-mile loop along Falls Creek. The falls itself, while not as spectacular as other iconic falls in our state, still just begs to be photographed – it is such a pretty spot. This shot of the falls was taken without a filter, and I was able to capture the image of the rushing water by leaving the shutter open for just a split second.
